Itinerary

Day 01 – Aswan: Embarkation & Island Temples

Arrive in Aswan, where the Nile widens and the pace of life softens. You are welcomed and transferred to your luxury cruise vessel for embarkation.

Begin with a visit to Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis and set on an island that seems to float between water and sky. Its elegant colonnades and reliefs carry a sense of quiet devotion, far removed from the monumental scale of northern temples.
Continue to the High Dam, a modern intervention that reshaped the Nile and created Lake Nasser, followed by the Unfinished Obelisk, where ancient stonework remains suspended mid-creation.

Return to your cruise as the river reflects the fading light of the day.
Overnight: Aswan

Day 02 – Kom Ombo & Edfu: Temples in Balance

Sail north to Kom Ombo, where a rare double temple stands in symmetry along the riverbank. Dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder, the structure reflects duality in both design and belief. Nearby, the Crocodile Museum preserves remnants of ancient rituals once tied to the Nile’s power.

Continue toward Edfu to visit the remarkably intact Temple of Horus, where towering pylons guard a sequence of courtyards and sanctuaries preserved with striking clarity. Reliefs narrate myth and ritual in precise detail, offering one of the most complete temple experiences in Egypt.

Return to your cruise and continue sailing toward Luxor, as the Nile narrows between cultivated fields and desert horizons.
Overnight: Sailing / Luxor

Day 03 – Luxor: Temples of Power & Ceremony

Arrive in Luxor, once the capital of ancient Thebes, where temples were not only places of worship but stages of political and divine authority.

Visit Luxor Temple, a structure defined by symmetry and alignment, where kings once affirmed their divine legitimacy. Unlike other temples, it carries a more ceremonial presence—its purpose tied to renewal rather than devotion alone.

The remainder of the day unfolds at leisure on board, allowing the contrast between monumentality and calm to settle naturally.
Overnight: Luxor

Day 04 – Luxor West Bank: The Landscape of Eternity

Cross to the West Bank of Luxor, where the desert holds the memory of Egypt’s most powerful rulers.

Descend into the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, where walls are covered in sacred texts guiding the pharaohs beyond death.
Continue to the terraced structure of the Temple of Hatshepsut, rising with architectural precision against the cliffs.
Pause at the Colossi of Memnon, silent figures marking what once was a vast mortuary complex.

Conclude your journey at Karnak Temple, a vast accumulation of sanctuaries, pylons, and halls built over centuries—a place where scale alone becomes a form of expression.

Return for disembarkation, marking the end of your Nile journey.
