Day 01 | Aswan – Temples, Granite & the Nile
Arrive in Aswan, where the Nile flows between granite islands and desert hills, creating one of the river’s most distinctive landscapes. You will be welcomed and transferred to your luxury Nile cruise for embarkation.
Begin your exploration at Philae Temple, the beautiful island sanctuary dedicated primarily to the goddess Isis. Reached by boat, its colonnades, courtyards, and reliefs rise gracefully above the surrounding water, preserving the atmosphere of one of Egypt’s last great centers of ancient worship.
Continue to the High Dam, the monumental modern project that transformed the Nile Valley and created vast Lake Nasser.
Your final visit is the Unfinished Obelisk, still resting in the ancient granite quarries of Aswan. Had it been completed, it would have been the largest obelisk ever erected in ancient Egypt. Its unfinished state offers a rare glimpse into the extraordinary methods used by ancient Egyptian craftsmen to shape monuments directly from the living rock.
Return to your cruise and settle into life on the Nile.
Overnight: Aswan

Day 02 | Kom Ombo & Edfu – Along the Sacred River
Leave Aswan behind as your cruise begins sailing north through a landscape of palms, cultivated fields, villages, and desert horizons.
At Kom Ombo, step ashore to explore one of Egypt’s most unusual temples. Perfectly divided between two divine cults, the temple honors Sobek, the crocodile god associated with the Nile, and Horus the Elder. Its remarkable symmetry reflects this dual dedication throughout its halls and sanctuaries.
Nearby, visit the Crocodile Museum, where mummified crocodiles and archaeological discoveries reveal the extraordinary role these animals played in ancient religious belief.
Continue sailing to Edfu and visit the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. Beyond its towering entrance pylons lies an exceptional sequence of courtyards, halls, chambers, and sanctuaries whose inscriptions preserve the rituals and mythology of the ancient Egyptian temple in remarkable detail.
Return to the ship and continue your journey toward Luxor.

Day 03 | Luxor East Bank – Karnak & Luxor Temples
Arrive in Luxor, ancient Thebes—the city that once stood at the spiritual and political heart of the Egyptian empire.
Begin at Karnak Temple, an immense sacred complex developed by generations of pharaohs over more than a thousand years. Walk through monumental gateways into the legendary Great Hypostyle Hall, where colossal columns rise like a forest of stone. Obelisks, sanctuaries, sacred lakes, and inscriptions reveal how successive kings transformed Karnak into the principal religious center of ancient Thebes.
Later, visit Luxor Temple, beautifully positioned in the heart of the modern city. Created and expanded by rulers including Amenhotep III and Ramses II, the temple played a central role in the ancient Opet Festival, when the divine procession travelled between Karnak and Luxor in a celebration of renewal and kingship.
Together, Karnak and Luxor Temple reveal the ceremonial heart of ancient Thebes—from monumental expressions of divine power to rituals that once connected the temples, the pharaoh, and the people.
Return to your cruise for your final evening on board.
Overnight: Luxor

Day 04 – Luxor West Bank: The Landscape of Eternity
Enjoy breakfast on board before checking out of your Nile cruise.
Cross the Nile to Luxor’s West Bank, where cultivated fields give way to the desert cliffs of the ancient Theban necropolis.
Enter the legendary Valley of the Kings, chosen as the burial ground of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs. Hidden beneath the mountains, the royal tombs preserve extraordinary painted chambers and sacred texts created to guide the kings through their journey into the afterlife.
Continue to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, dramatically arranged in terraces beneath towering limestone cliffs. Its architecture and reliefs tell the story of one of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable rulers.
Conclude with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two monumental seated statues of Amenhotep III that once guarded the entrance to his enormous mortuary temple.
After completing your West Bank exploration, you will be transferred privately to Luxor International Airport for your onward flight or to your Luxor hotel, according to your travel arrangements.
